FAQ Frequently Asked Questions
What's the Cascadia Commerce Network?
The Cascadia Commerce Network is a virtual peer-to-peer marketplace community that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, where members can vote on how the collected transaction fees are reinvested back into their community.
How much does it cost?
Marketplace transaction fees that are normally kept by other marketplaces, such as Etsy, Poshmart, Amazon, eBay, are collected for the Cascadia Commerce Network account. Members vote on how these funds are reinvested back into the community.

Is this a social media app?
No, not really.
Although it’s our aspiration to leverage our community to address lingering issues of social and economic inequity, debates on these topics are encouraged to occur on other platforms that are better suited to facilitate on-line discourse.
The Cascadia Commerce Network app is for serious business applications in support of supporting a cooperative effort centered around local self-governance and is commerce-base; a digital community with an emphasis upon supporting entrepreneurial members over social interaction.
How is Payment Managed?
For payment, any major debit and credit card will do.

Vendors are paid for the goods and services they sell in the Cascadia Commerce Network.

Eventually, each watershed may elect to introduce a "buy local first" watershed currency to further incentivize hyper-local commerce
